Ron Bouchard
Bouchard won over 200 Modified races in New England at tracks such as Norwood Arena, Stafford, Thompson and Seeconk Speedways. He won several championships as well including the Speedweek title at New Smyrna Speedway in 1978. Bouchard drove for such noted car owners as Marvin Rifchin and Bob Johnson.
Bouchard competed in the NASCAR Winston Cup (now Sprint Cup) Series driving the Race Hill Farms #47. In only his 11th race hhe won the Talledega 500 on his way to being named the series Rookie of the Year. Bouchard had 160 career starts at NASCAR's highest level. He recorded three fast time awards and 60 top-ten finishes. He also won several Busch Grand Naional 9now Nationwide) races including both of Darlington's 200 mile races in 1987. He retired from racing in 1987.
